Colombo City Tour


The Colombo City Tour is Sri Lanka’s only open deck city sightseeing service operated by Ebert Silva Holidays in collaboration with Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority. The Colombo City Tour highlights Sri Lanka’s premier city to the world with professional live commentaries and an interesting selection of tours highlighting the city’s rich and harmonious tapestry of many faiths, races and cultures.

Sightseeing within the city limits of Colombo and the administrative capital includes, Colombo Lighthouse, The Prison Cell of the last Sri Lankan King, Lighthouse with Clock Tower designed by Lady Ward which is built before the Big Ben in London, Galle Face Promenade with cannons of World War II, South Expansion of the Colombo Harbour, York Street with ruins of British Colonial Architecture, Slave Island area, famous Hindu Kovil with a uniquely carved Gopuram, the scenic Beira Lake in the heart of the city, the War Memorial, Public Library, NelumPokuna Theatre, ViharaMaha Devi Park, Colombo Town Hall, Bandaraniye Memorial International Conference Hall; commonly known as BMICH, Replica of Aukana Buddha Statue, DiyathaUyana- the picturesque market and landscaped gardens on the banks of the DiyawannaOya and many more.

What is in the Package

Most of the times tour packages includes, live commentary in English by national guides, snacks and a bottle of mineral water and an entrance fee.

What Time and How Long

Tours are conducted on Saturdays and Sundays; both morning and evening times. It will take around 3.5 to 4 hours to complete the target destinations around Colombo.
