North & North West Sri Lanka
North West, heart of a cheerful beach town crowned with church is a staple of almost every
visitor’s Sri Lankan journey. Heading further North, a wild and little-visited region that
seems to consist of nothing but coconut plantations and lagoons, sparkling in the sun and
filled with dolphins could be encountered.
Northern part of the island is the nerve center for Sri Lanka’s Tamil culture. Apart from the
cultural and traditional icons, the region is full of pristine stretches of beaches, which
brings a divine feeling to one’s mind.
